Bilko bound for Baltimore with Dew Tour in sight {2008 }

Aussie FMX talent Blake Williams is aiming for a solid, consistent start to his 2008 AST Dew Tour Campaign which will kick off in Baltimore next week.

Williams, from Baxter in Victoria, will wrap up his final show of the Crusty Unleash Hell Regional Tour this Saturday after 16 weeks of events, but will have little time to relax, with his flight to Los Angeles set to jet out early Sunday morning.

From here, Bilko will catch an adjoining flight after a day in Los Angeles and touch down in Baltimore. His last visit to the United States to compete was in April at the World Moto X Championships, where he impressed in his return to pro competition.

He finished 5th in the best trick final despite competing with an injury cloud hovering over him.

And while he is still managing and receiving treatment for his ankle injury, Bilko said he is feeling good about his chances for a top finish in the opening Dew Tour event.

"I'm feeling good about the first round of Dew Tour next weekend, I've been riding on and off and busy with the Crusty Tour and I'm confident that my ankle is up to the job," said Williams.

"In saying that I don't want to put too much pressure on myself at this stage. A top 10 finish is the aim and if I can crack the top 5 then that's even better."

"I'm looking to set up my season at Baltimore. If I finish top 6 next weekend I can take part in the next two rounds of the Dew Tour which have been changed to exhibition-only events because of the weather."

"This will all be good training for X Games later in July."

Bilko received a wildcard entry invite to X Games due to his absence from the event in the past.

"Having to head to X Games early to compete in qualifying is not ideal, it's a bit of a pain really. There's a number of guys who have competed in less rounds than me so it is frustrating."
